Descriptions: 
Located in the eastern Sierra, west of Mammoth Lakes. Campground is situated in a lodgepole pine forest, at an elevation of 8,240 feet. Restrooms are provided. You must have horses to camp in this campground. Two vehicles are allowed per site, including the horse trailer. Sites have one hitching rail, and no corrals or watering trough. Day-use visitors between June 16 and September 10 are required to use the shuttle bus. The shuttle runs from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm daily. Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. more >

Directions: 
300 miles north of Los Angeles and 165 miles south of Reno. Take US 395 to 203 west through Mammoth Lakes, past the ski area. Highway 203 ends at Minarets Summit. Continue 2.5 miles on Reds Meadow Road and take dirt road to campground.
